Womens Bible Study

Description: By Women’s Bible Study we don’t mean one of those gender specific Bibles. It should be more accurately titled as Bible Study for Women. The class is taught by Rosetta Love. Each 8 week session the class goes over a different book in the Bible. Rosetta has also taught it at her church. Students will need to bring their own bible, but it doesn’t matter which translation it is. There are other handouts provided by Rosetta.

Othello

Description: One of our members, Michael Haynes, has offered to teach and organize players for the game of Othello. This is a game you will flip out over! A two player game, the strategy is to trap and capture your opponent’s pieces by placing your disks on the board. Player start with four, and add one each turn. Every time you "sandwich" one or more of your opponent's pieces you flip those disks to your color, but your opponent will try and do the same to you. Winning means having more pieces on the board than their opponent. The game is considered finished when there are no spaces left on the board or there are no more possible legal moves for either player. If you know the Othello game OR want to learn it check it out. Michael will provide all the things you need to play.
Dave Mitchell Retires

Last month we bid a fond farewell to Dave Mitchell, our longtime bookkeeper. Having started with us in February 2001, he and his wife Bonnie decided to retire together. So after 15 years of making sure all our numbers added up, and that we dotted our i’s and crossed our t’s he has decided to take a well earned rest.



However, he won’t be gone for good as he is planning on becoming a member and looks forward to coming in and having fun, possibly taking some trips and getting into Wii Bowling. Dave, we’re sorry to see you go, but look forward to welcoming you back!
